Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Project Engineer to support our operations in the manufacturing and construction industry. This role involves creating and managing technical manufacturing drawings tracking the progress of product orders organizing and maintaining records and ensuring that orders are completed on time. The Project Engineer will also play a key role in project management working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Create distribute and manage technical manufacturing drawings layouts and supporting documents required for the production of various products.
Track and log the status of products for each order ensuring timely completion and resolution of any delays.
Organize and maintain records for each new order including Purchase Orders (POs) change orders and contract drawings / specifications.
Determine required materials for new orders and consolidate them into material order forms for procurement.
Review customer POs and vendor quotes for accuracy ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Create and maintain sales orders for new projects ensuring uptodate and accurate information for shipping and billing purposes.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects meet customer expectations quality standards and timelines.
Assist with the identification of potential risks and collaborate with the team to mitigate or resolve project issues.
Provide project status updates to customers and internal stakeholders ensuring clear communication throughout the process.

Skills Education & Experience :

Education : C.Tech C.E.T. or B.Eng. (preferred).

Experience : Strong background in the manufacturing and construction industries with experience in pipe / pipeline design and / or concrete pipe manufacturing considered an asset.

Technical Proficiency :

Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for modeling and design.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint etc.).

Skills :

Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

General knowledge of the manufacturing and construction industries with a focus on project engineering and technical documentation.
