Job description

Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with an innovative semiconductor company seeking a ASIC and Microelectronics Design Team Lead . This critical role involves leading the design and prototyping of advanced electro-optical communication systems, focusing on active optical cables and optimizing performance and reliability throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design and development of advanced optical systems, including transmitter / receiver modules and electronics for Active Optical Cables (AOCs).
  • Spearhead ASIC integration with high-speed PCBs, implementing control protocols such as I2C, SPI, or UART.
  • Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability across all designs from concept to prototype.

Qualifications :

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field with a focus on microelectronics or photonic circuits (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in design with a proven track record leading projects from concept to tape-out.
  • Proven technical leadership in electronics and optics throughout the entire design process.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to innovate in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Project management skills and experience with cross-disciplinary team collaboration.

    • Compensation :

  • Base Salary : $200,000 - $250,000 CAD, depending on experience.
