Your Role

I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a food manufacturing company based in Sainte-Thérèse, for a Director of Operations - Permanent Position - 40h / week

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Operations Management : Optimize production, supply chain, and overall plant organization.

Leadership & Team Management : Lead and develop a team of managers and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Continuous Improvement : Implement Lean and Kaizen initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Quality & Compliance : Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, BRC) and industry regulations.
  • Maintenance & Innovation : Oversee equipment maintenance and integrate new technologies to enhance productivity.
  • Health & Safety : Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
  • Budget Management : Establish and monitor operational budgets, approve strategic investments.

    • Your Background

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience : 5 to 8 years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment (food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics industries preferred)
  • Key Competencies : Project management, continuous improvement, budget oversight
  • Languages : Fluency in French and English is essential; Spanish is a plus
  • Soft Skills : Proactivity, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork

    • Salary : $120,000 - $150,000 based on experience
