Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Support talent acquisition with campus and professional recruitment activities such as welcoming candidates, scheduling interviews, updating talent acquisition candidate reports and drafting offers.
  • Assist with onboarding and departure processes, including maintaining the HR Processes tracker, monitoring of background checks, facilitating orientation sessions, being the first point of contact to new hires prior to Day 1.
  • Provide administrative support for the Human Resources department, including updating employee records, preparing employment verification letters, drafting all letter templates, backing up for payroll input, arranging appointments as well as drafting communications and announcements.
  • Assist with HR postings on intranet page.
  • Engage and participate in our HR team meetings.
  • Develop positive employee relations by providing ongoing advice and support to employees and management.
  • Continually review processes and make recommendations for enhancement.
  • Create and maintain procedural documentations as required.
  • Support HR Business Partners with projects and initiatives as required
  • Assist with coordinating Wellness Initiatives throughout the calendar year.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with a minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in a fast paced corporate environment.
  • Bilingualism (French / English) an asset.
  • An ability to work effectively across a cross-functional team while supporting conflicting priorities and deadlines;
  • Customer-focused, with strong communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Highly skilled in MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Teams).
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating daily and ongoing projects effectively and efficiently within specified timeframes.
  • Possess strong integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Flexible team player who can adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
  • Understanding of Employment Standards and Human Rights an asset.
