Core Responsibilities :
In the role of Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) within the Family Hub team, your responsibilities will include :
- Collaborating with parents, early year practitioners, and members of the children's workforce to implement targeted interventions for children.
- Supporting Early Years practitioners and settings to enhance communication opportunities for young children within a nursery environment.
- Driving changes in practitioner awareness, knowledge, and practice.
- Contributing to the local referral and triage process.
- Supporting the implementation of language interventions within nurseries.
Essential Requirements :
- Possession of a Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Degree or Masters.
- A minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience working as an SLT with children, young people facing Speech, Language, and Communication Needs, in addition to their families and the children's workforce.
- Proven track record in delivering universal and targeted level services, preferably within family hubs or Early Years settings.
- Active registration with RCSLT and HCPC.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Enhanced DBS application post-appointment
- Dedication to upholding the clients mission, vision, and values.
