What can you expect :

At Amilia, we’re experiencing rapid growth, and we’re looking for a hands-on Controller who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment. Under the guidance of our Finance Director, you’ll oversee accounting and financial operations for both our Canadian and U.S. entities. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in refining and improving our financial processes to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

This role involves more than just number crunching—you’ll be integral in providing accurate financial reporting and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions.

You'll be responsible for :

Month-End :

Build balance sheet account reconciliation analyses and monthly verification, keeping liability account tracking up to date.

Approve month-end journal entries, supplier invoices, and expense accounts payable.

Track and account for intercompany transactions and validate monthly bank reconciliations.

Verify and depreciate non-current assets (amortization) and track the company’s share capital.

Monitor cash flow, prepare monthly financial statements, and review them with the Finance Director to ensure they are available on time.

Act as a resource for the team when necessary.

Year-End :

Be responsible for preparing the annual audit file and follow-ups, including preparing tax credit files (CDAE, R&D) and coordinating with involved resources.

Administration and Continuous Improvement :

Manage the company’s insurance policies and act as the internal contact for insurance inquiries, as well as handle monthly invoicing.

Document and update accounting procedures while providing support to the team in their administrative tasks when required.

Innovate by implementing best practices, particularly in automation, and recommend improvements for internal controls.

Participate in the development of accounting processes and special projects.

What we want from you :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA designation.

3–5 years of accounting experience with mastery of ASPE (NCECF).

Experience in the technology sector (TMT) and with NetSuite is an asset.

Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and ease in learning new software.

Strong communicator (oral and written) in French and English, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills, and solution-oriented.

Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines.

Autonomous, resourceful, and creative, with a curiosity for learning best practices.

Team player with tact, adapting technologies to improve processes.
