About the Role :

This is a unique opportunity to step into a brand-new HR position and build the function from the ground up. As the company’s first dedicated HR professional, you’ll play a key role in shaping people strategy, supporting business growth, and ensuring a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with employment regulations
  • Foster positive employee relations and support workplace culture initiatives
  • Oversee health and safety policies and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support leadership with performance management and employee development

    • What's required?

  • 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • In-depth knowledge of up-to-date HR best practices and policies
  • Education in human resources, CHRP is an asset
  • Knowledge of payroll, recruitment, benefits, onboarding, employee relations, and policy development
  • Industry knowledge of building supplies, real estate, or construction is an asset
  • A car would be helpful for commuting to the office, but it's not required
