Construction Field Operations Manager

Job Overview :

As the Construction Field Operations manager you will oversee multiple landscape and civil construction projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the daily operations of our growing construction division and directly supervising and instructing multiple foreman and crews to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are achieved and continuously improved upon. The Field Operations Manager will need to effectively manage resources including materials, inventory, equipment, labor and training. You will collaborate with the estimator and supporting management team regarding the planning and execution of won construction contracts, and the construction season schedule as a whole, to achieve budget targets. This position transitions in a Snow Supervisor role for the duration of the winter season. The Snow Supervisor is responsible for the oversight  and support of multiple side walk crews and plows to ensure timely and efficient clearing of sidewalks and parking lots through out the city and servicing multiple commercial clients.

Qualifications :

• Candidates will need a minimum of 5 years commercial construction landscaping experience in a supervisory or management position.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects and crews simultaneously
• Experience in the operation / installation / repair of commercial irrigation systems.
• Extensive knowledge in reading and executing both landscape architectural and Civil earthworks drawings and plans
• Ability to read grades as they translate into earthworks, both physical survey stakes and topographical drawings
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Background in heavy equipment operation
• 3+ years managing commercial snow removal crews
• A degree / diploma / trade certificate from a college or horticulture school considered and asset.
