Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Leasing and Sales to provide strategic leadership and oversight of leasing across Tricon’s new state-of-the-art purpose-built-rental apartment portfolio in Canada. The Vice President of Leasing and Sales will shape the strategic direction of the leasing function using sales best practices and data driven insights to drive market leading conversions of prospect tours to leases across our growing pipeline of properties. The ideal candidate is an energetic and passionate sales professional with deep expertise leasing new Class A rental properties, capable of driving collaboration across departments, and an inspiration leader of high-performing teams. Success in this position will enhance the company's market leading position and strengthen its competitive edge in the apartment sector.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute comprehensive leasing and sales strategies for the Canadian portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Lead the "Go-to-Market" leasing plans for all new development projects, addressing unique project, location, and resident preferences, as well as market conditions.
Monitor and adjust leasing strategies to optimize prospect conversions, minimize vacancy, and enhance resident experience.
Market Insights and Competitive Analysis
Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of trends, identify competitive advantages, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Analyze occupancy rates, revenue, and demographic shifts to inform property leasing plans on an ongoing basis.
Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, building strong relationships with industry peers to remain informed and ahead of the pack.
Sales Leadership and Team Development
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing leasing and sales teams, creating a culture of excellence and accountability.
Design and oversee tailored sales training programs that drive operational efficiency and maximize closing ratios.
Set ambitious sales goals and implement performance incentives to achieve and exceed targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with revenue management, asset management, development, marketing, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and effective leasing strategies.
Drive alignment between leasing initiatives and broader organizational objectives, fostering seamless communication across departments.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that enhance brand visibility and attract ideal resident demographics.
Operational Excellence
Collaborate with Revenue Management to develop pricing and renewal strategies, ensuring revenue optimization across the portfolio.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for leasing activities, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution.
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing leasing performance metrics.
Conduct regular quality audits of leasing operations, including model units, tour paths, and marketing materials.
Performance Metrics and Reporting
Oversee the development of advanced sales reporting tools, leveraging data to measure performance and guide decision-making.
Host regular strategic review sessions to evaluate leasing performance, pricing strategies, and market conditions.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field.
A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in multifamily leasing and sales, including leadership roles managing large-scale portfolios.
Proven track record in leading successful lease-up campaigns for Class A residential properties.
Expertise in leveraging CRM software, digital marketing tools, and advanced analytics to drive leasing performance.
