Overview :

Join the dynamic team for our client in the marine industry as a Naval Engineer / Architect, where you will play a crucial role in helping boat builders modify their current designs to fit electric powertrains while maintaining proper weight distribution and buoyancy. You will ensure that all boat designs are technically sound, comply with safety regulations, and meet industry standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide engineering solutions, technical and commercial guidance, and project management for concept design studies, new vessel constructions, refits, and conversions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design Modification : Assist boat builders in modifying their designs to accommodate electric powertrains while ensuring proper weight distribution and buoyancy.
  • Technical Compliance : Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Client Support : Provide engineering solutions, technical and commercial guidance, and project management support for various marine projects.
  • Technical Sales Support : Offer technical sales support to customers, update them on project status, and provide internal product testing and feedback.
  • Testing and Documentation : Draft testing requirements, document testing processes for each installation, and maintain accurate marketing documentation, product specifications, and manuals.
  • Quotations and Proposals : Assist in developing quotations and proposals for clients.
  • Installation and Integration : Oversee integration, troubleshooting, and installation processes; assist customers with on-site and remote installations.
  • Training and Procedures : Provide training on installation and safety procedures, create product knowledge documents, and train customers on installation and replacement processes.
  • Logistics Management : Handle product transportation, ensuring safe and timely delivery to customers.
  • Warranty and Replacement Management : Manage internal and external warranty and replacement issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Training : Stay up to date with the latest regulations and conduct training sessions for the team.
  • Prototype Testing : Test prototype products, provide feedback to R&D, gather customer information, and suggest new products and features.

Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years of experience in marine engineering or a related field.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in drafting technical documents and providing detailed reports.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
