Senior ICI Estimator role in the west end of Ottawa, new builds up to $70M+

Your new role

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 5 individuals, winning new bids, and assembling comprehensive bid packages. This role requires a deep understanding of the Ottawa construction industry and a proven track record in estimating and project management.

Additionally, you will prepare detailed cost estimates for ICI construction projects, analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in bids.

Working and collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and competitive bids, you will maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods. Also, you will regularly develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Among other responsibilities, as needed, you will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and participate in bid review meetings and present estimates to senior management.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this vital role, you will have at least 7 years of experience in ICI construction estimating, ideally in the Ottawa / National Capital Region. You will have a proven ability to win new bids and assemble comprehensive bid packages, possess excellent leadership and team management skills.

You should also have strong proficiency in estimating software and tools and have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
