Tasks
- Coordinate patient care
- Evaluate patient care and progress
- Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests
- Perform Holter / loop event scanning to produce an interpreted report for the physician
- Train technicians, assistants, students or interns
- Monitor vital signs during cardiopulmonary surgery
- Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories
- Participate in research related to cardiac and pulmonary disorders
- Perform cardiac and cardiopulmonary stress tests
- Prepare medications and administer inhaler and other treatments under supervision of cardiologist
- Provide information and care for patients during tests
