Apollo Applied Research is a virtual medical clinic offering its patients an accessible path to medical cannabis treatment. We offer effective treatments for many chronic health conditions such as pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD and more through an evidence-based approach to empower our patients to take control of their overall health. We have a team of experienced health care professionals dedicated to patient care and medical cannabis education. We are actively seeking new and better ways to treat our patients’ illnesses with medical cannabis across Canada.

The Opportunity

We are excited to expand our mental health platform and are searching for an enthusiastic and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our highly effective interdisciplinary team of healthcare practitioners with over 50 years of combined experience in cannabinoid therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultations for the candidacy of medical cannabis access to our patients and sometimes their families.
  • Psychological case management input, recommendations to the interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, psycho-social barriers, and conflict management
  • Help support Veterans and military families.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Experience

  • Medical degree and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of your province
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and patients virtually
  • Comfortable with the use of virtual tools including video, telephone, and EMR
  • Other Details

    This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position should you wish, based out of Ontario but will consider candidates Canada wide.
