Intent of the process

The intent of this inventory is to have a pool of candidates to draw from when vacancies arise for current and future needs within the Government of Canada.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis as long as the poster is active.

Assessment of additional qualifications (i.e. experience and / or competencies) specific to the requirements of the position being staffed may be required for appointment.

Departments and agencies across the Government of Canada could select you from the pool and appoint you to a specific position, when vacancies arise.

You may be required to complete additional steps to see how well you will fit with their team. This will also give you a chance to assess whether you want to work on their team.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION (EEd)

EEd1 : A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.

Applicants submitting education credentials from a non-Canadian institution are responsible for obtaining certification that these credentials are the equivalent of the Canadian education level required for the position.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (EE)

EE1 : Significant* experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management.

EE2 : Experience in project management.

EE3 : Experience in the interpretation and application of directives and policies.

EE4 : Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships, including consultation, collaboration or negotiation, with internal and external stakeholders to deliver improved business outcomes.

Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of duties for approximately 2 years or more.

Various language requirements

Official languages proficiency will not be assessed for entry to the pool. Candidates entered in the pool will have an opportunity for assessment of their official languages proficiency if and when they are considered for an appointment.

For acting appointments and assignments, the candidate may not be required to meet the language requirements of the position.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE (EK)

EK1 : Knowledge of the Treasury Board policy framework relating to project management, including the Directive on the Management of Projects and Programmes and the Policy on the Planning and Management of Investments.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (EC)

EC1 : Thinking things through.

EC2 : Working effectively with others.

EC3 : Showing initiative and being action-oriented.

EC4 : Demonstrating integrity and respect.

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES (EA)

EA1 : Ability to communicate effectively orally.

EA2 : Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

ASSET EDUCATION (AEd)

AEd1 : Project management certification(s), including, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince 2 Certification.

AEd2 : Change Management training or certification.

ASSET EXPERIENCE (AEx)

AEx1 : Experience in applying Project Management principles, processes and tools and / or management of IT project or event planning.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Secret security clearance - Applicants who have not lived in Canada for the past five (or ten, depending on security level) years may be required to submit a police certificate from each country in which they have lived for six months or more during this period, as well as other documentation required for the security screening process.

Failure to submit this documentation if requested will eliminate the application from further consideration.
