About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Clerk , you will play a key role in ensuring the financial operations run smoothly by processing a high volume of invoices efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing : Accurately process a large volume of invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
  • Vendor Payments : Ensure timely and accurate payments while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting : Reconcile accounts payable transactions, investigate discrepancies, and assist with month-end financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Documentation : Maintain organized records and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration : Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to resolve payment and invoice inquiries.
  • Process Improvement : Identify and implement efficiency improvements in the accounts payable process.

    • What You Bring

    Must-Have Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of experience in high-volume accounts payable processing .
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and financial best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. JD Edwards, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    • Nice-to-Have :

  • Experience in a mid-to-large-sized organization with high-volume transactions.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliations .
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
