OUR TEAM
The Financial Planning & Analysis Team works collaboratively with the organization to deliver budgeting and forecasting for the Authority.
The team works alongside business unit owners to develop valuable reporting and innovative data visualizations that provide detailed analysis and insights to support quality decision making.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Under the supervision of the General Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will assist other members of the FP & A team in business case preparation, validation of new Oracle reports and monthly / quarterly reporting.
This role provides you an opportunity to gain work experience in financial analysis, Oracle ERP / EPM systems and learning some basics of internal / external financial reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Assist the team with documentation, definition and organization of KPIs, forecasting, budgeting & other procedures
- Partner with the Corporate Analysts to provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and valuation support to other departments & divisions within the organization
- Lead the performance of ad-hoc studies / investigations into business performance and present the findings accordingly
- Support the monthly reporting cycle by reviewing & entering key statistics / metrics
- Update and maintain monthly revenue & expense forecasts
- Assist the team in the preparation and review of presentation materials
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration degree with a major in Finance or Accounting
- Natural curiosity with strong interest in performing research and analysis
- A passion for building and maintaining key business relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proactive problem solver with the desire and ability to achieve results
- Detail-oriented, resourceful and enthusiastic
- Ability to work effectively with a team as well as individually
- Strong organizational skills
WHAT ELSE?
- To qualify as a co-op or internship student, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary program where a work term is a formal requirement of the program and provide documentation to that effect.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC).
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of onsite and remote work.
