Reporting to the Director Safety and Quality, the Safety Advisor is responsible to fulfill safety obligations for the region. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who excels in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Position Responsibilities
Here’s what your day-to-day looks like :
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation within Atlantic CanadaPromote a strong safety culture both onsite and in officeProvide your insight into the company’s health and safety program to continuously make improvementsConduct safety training and maintain safety training records (e.g., safety orientations, equipment inspections)Conduct comprehensive hazard assessments and formal site inspectionsParticipate in recording monthly safety statisticsImplement, enforce, monitor, and update site specific health and safety plansDeliver site specific safety orientations and ensure that personnel undergo orientation before entering the siteMaintain site specific logs of inspections, meeting, infractions, and mitigating measuresAssist with maintenance of the company’s quality management systemWork with the safety department on various business development initiatives (International Standards Organization, Workers Compensation Board, safety training, loss control, etc.)Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate has the following :
5+ years of safety experience within construction industryCHSC or CRSP designation, or similarKnowledge of current legislation and regulations within Atlantic CanadaKnowledge of safe work practices required for execution work and operation of equipmentKnowledge of preventative maintenance program for construction site equipmentPossess a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to lead and work with minimal supervisionPossess valid driver’s licenseHow to Apply :
