An industry-leading, independent consulting firm is seeking a Hydrogeological Modeler to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to projects in hydrogeology, engineering, geochemistry and mining.

Your Role will Involve :

  • Lead and review advanced modeling for physical flow, contaminant transport, reactions, pore pressure distributions, and uncertainty analysis.
  • Provide modeling support across disciplines by collaborating with geochemists, hydrologists, structural geologists, and geotechnical engineers.
  • Engage in all stages of mining studies, including preliminary economic assessments, feasibility studies, permitting, and operational support.
  • Develop and characterize 3D numerical models of groundwater systems, considering cross-disciplinary impacts and environmental, social, and financial risks.
  • Communicate complex scientific concepts effectively to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to engineering design studies, providing insights on remedial options, in-situ treatment, engineering solutions, and site-wide water and load balance models.
  • Collaborate with team members at all levels to manage tasks and mentor junior staff.
  • Ensure project goals are met by preparing reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences.

    • What we are looking for :

  • A minimum of a master's or higher degree in geology, geological / civil engineering.
  • Technical proficiency in groundwater numerical modelling.
  • Experience with geological modelling software.
  • Professional registration in BC or current eligibility to obtain it.
  • Valid driver’s license valid for use in Canada.
