Forbes Bros Ltd. is looking for experienced, full-time, permanent Field Mechanics to join our growing team supporting our projects based out of Saskatchewan on work sites in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Melfort, Pelican Narrows and more.
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Field Mechanic maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment at our Powerline Construction Project Sites. This role is accountable to ensure vehicle documentation is correct, regulatory requirements are met, and all documentation is in place before vehicles or equipment are issued. The successful candidate will demonstrate prior experience of having worked within a heavy equipment shop environment in addition to strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities :
Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every dayTroubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems and components on a variety of equipment including but not limited to tractor-trailer units and large commercial vehicles.Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspectionsAssist with troubleshooting of electrical systems and componentsMaintain service truck and keep stocked with tools and spare partsAssist with the start-up and commissioning of new project sitesResponsible for maintaining the service truck logbooks / Tailboards / Safety paperworkResponsible for creating and updating work orders within Viewpoint / Sent to Fleet ManagerMaintain shop tools and work areaEnsure vehicle documentation is correct and in place before vehicle or equipment is issuedEnsure FBL Fleet meets all regulatory requirementsMay be required to perform duties outside of normal responsibilities from time to time, as neededWhat We Are Looking For :
Heavy Equipment Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician- Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (Off Road), Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Transport Mechanic.
