JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Data and Digital Health Innovation, the Clinical Systems Educator is considered the Subject Matter Expert, technology focused, and is responsible for providing training on applications related to the provision of clinical care to the staff within Integrated Care Solutions. The clinical systems educator will also support project coordination of digital products.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Train new and existing staff on the clinical documentation system, interRAI assessment tools, and other Bayshore applications (including workflow management tools, patient engagement applications, Yardi, Procura,
- Prepare support materials (. user guides, educator guides) for existing and new applications
- Partners with clinical operations team and digital health team to update training materials and methodologies to reflect current field practices and system statuses
- Modify, configure system as needed
- Develop and conduct training sessions as required
- Create / update / communicate training schedules to ICS staff
- Analyze feedback from ICS staff and provide input to assist in the improvement of training methodologies and initiatives for existing and new clinical program implementations
- Troubleshoot device / application issues and provide guidance to users
- Participate in ongoing internal and / or external continuing education activities
- Learn new applications to update training materials and provide training on newly acquired applications
- Participate in project implementations from a training perspective as required
- Provide project management support :
- Apply standard project management best practices and methodologies to effectively manage program and project objectives.
- Support the PM with planning of project meetings including creating agendas and presentations, scheduling meetings, and taking meeting minutes.
- Maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, communication plans, meeting minutes, evaluation plans, sustainability plans, and progress reports.
- Follow-up with stakeholders to ensure completion of deliverables are tracking towards deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment
- Use project management software as needed
- Support the leadership team with change management and develop plans for sustainability
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with Bayshore’s Quality Management System
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
- Assist in data gathering and analysis activities
- Help facilitate data and workflow auditing
- Complete other tasks as requested
- Travel to various sites may be required

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or relevant course of study; completion of relevant courses / certificatesPossess current valid license as a registered nurse or registered practical nurseAdult learner / education certificate / training or willing to obtain in 2 yearsHealth informatics certificate or willing to obtain in 2 yearsValid G driver’s licenseExperience
Experience as a regulated health professional in home care / acute care settings. Relevant field experience preferredPrevious experience assessing patients as well as training and mentoring staff of various agesExperience leading or participating in change initiatives and familiarity with project management principles.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office productsKnowledge of electronic documentation systems and other applications is an asset, such as, CRM, eLearning.Well versed in PC, Android / Apple OS and comfortable in using consumer devices, IoT, web applications, cloud computing, web conferencing softwareOther Skills & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize demands, anticipate challenges / barriers and actively problem solve to develop a resolution. Takes the initiative to own assignments. A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience using a clinical documentation system. Strong organization as well as verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members from various disciplines. Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm to explore creative technical solutions.
