Materials Control and Laboratory Manager

As a Materials Control and Laboratory Manager in the Alternative Projects Center of Expertise at Pomerleau Construction , you will play a key role in ensuring the traceability of materials incorporated into the work and in planning on-site laboratory tests. Supporting our work on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects - ranging from $ million to over $1 billion - you will ensure that materials comply with established standards, and that resources are properly mobilized to cover all testing and control activities.

What You Will Do

• Plan and coordinate on-site and factory laboratory tests.
• Ensure that tests are carried out in accordance with the standards and frequencies specified in the contract.
• Maintain calibration and verification records for measuring instruments.
• Implement and monitor material quality control procedures, ensuring conformity of results.
• Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from technical specifications.
• Submit laboratory deliverables (test reports, analyses, statistics) to customer representative on time.
• Ensure the quality of materials supplied by subcontractors with the help of technical and construction teams.
• Maintain up-to-date register of materials delivered, including proofs and supporting documents.
• Record the results of tests and inspections carried out on materials.
• Coordinate expert reports required to close non-conformities.
