Occupational Health and Safety Manager

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to lead the development, implementation, and management of safety programs across their operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in health and safety management, with experience in industrial environments and knowledge of safety regulations in Canada and the U.S.The Role : Develop and maintain health and safety policies and programs in compliance with relevant regulations.Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and implement mitigation strategies.Provide training to employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures.Investigate incidents and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and represent the organization during audits.Regular travel (25-40%) between operational sites is required.Ideal Candidate : Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.G., Occupational Health and Safety)5+ years of experience in health and safety managementCertifications such as CRSP or CSP are a strong assetStrong communication skills in EnglishAdvanced proficiency in French is preferredStrong leadership and change management skills
