Description :

BCRDS is undertaking multiple concurrent redevelopment projects driven by the need to retire provincial and nbsp;mainframe services and modernize nonmainframe services. BC Registries is also adding functionality to its modern and nbsp;application platform to support provincial commitments. Development work is completed by six agile teams who and nbsp;use modern tech stacks that support a DevOps continuous improvement approach. Our scaled agile organization and nbsp;leverages human centered design opensource languages and frameworks and a cuttingedge enterprise and nbsp;containerization platform. and nbsp; and nbsp;

Successful respondents will be required to participate in agile ceremonies which will include providing demos. Successful respondents will also participate in various meetings with other project teams or interested parties to ensure alignment consistency and technical excellence. Successful respondents may also work with Service BC staff to build internal knowledge and capacity. and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp;

Responsibilities :

The Contractor must :

As a fullstack developer write backend and frontend code using modern languages frameworks and nbsp; and nbsp;databases and tools specifically Python Postgres vue.js TypeScript and related frameworks. and nbsp;
Mentor and transfer knowledge to inhouse staff in modern languages Agile DevOps or Container management platforms. and nbsp;
Worked as part of a scaled agile team to incrementally deliver value for the users of a product or digital service. and nbsp;
Work with clients to develop solution architectures to solve business problems. and nbsp;
Migrate BC Registries digital services from legacy environments and mainframes to modern environments leveraging techniques / tools such as DevOps Kubernetes container and microservices based architectures. and nbsp;
Write automated tests and help set up continuous integration and amp; delivery pipelines. and nbsp;
Design develop manage and integrate RESTful APIs. and nbsp;
Have experience working with cloud technologies and nbsp;

The Contractor must possess (mandatory) : and nbsp;

and nbsp;A minimum of 2 years experience as a fullstack software developer (frontend and backend) using and nbsp; and nbsp;modern languages (e.g. JavaScript) and frameworks.

A minimum of 1 year experience working on Python and TypeScript. and nbsp;

Experience developing with an API gateway for external use. and nbsp;

A minimum of 3 years experience working as part of an agile team of which one year must be using scrum to incrementally deliver value for the users of a product or digital service. and nbsp;

Experience migrating digital services from legacy environments such as mainframe and / or client / server to modern environments leveraging techniques / tools such as DevOps Kubernetes container and microservices based architectures. and nbsp;

Experience with RESTful API development and integration. and nbsp;

Experience working with cloud technologies.

The Contractor should ( Preferable ) : and nbsp; and nbsp;

Possess knowledge of the BC Registries and Online Services. and nbsp;

Experience with search technologies such as SOLR and Elasticsearch and Google Cloud Search. and nbsp;

Have delivered systems built in Flask Vue.js and Nuxt.js. and nbsp;

Know JSON Schema. and nbsp;

Have delivered APIs that are OAS v3 compliant via Apigee. and nbsp;

Be fluent with PL / SQL Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. and nbsp;

Have created and delivered training to customers on the items listed in the mandatory and preferable sections. and nbsp;

Have created technical documentation diagrams and RFCs. and nbsp;

Have worked in an SRE environment. and nbsp;

Have knowledge of and implemented observability. and nbsp;

Have experience working on OpenShift platform.
