Job Summary

The Sales Manager will be a key driver in generating new business opportunities and leading the sales team. Responsible for identifying and qualifying potential sales leads, this role requires proactive outreach, cold-calling, and data analysis. The Sales Manager will work closely with Sales Executives, Project Managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure a robust pipeline of qualified leads. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on business growth while overseeing a dynamic sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Business Development :

Proactively research and identify potential clients within key industries.

Leverage online tools, databases, and industry insights to build strategic target lists.

Engage with prospective clients via phone, email, and social media to generate interest.

Develop strong relationships through compelling, persuasive communication.

Sales Team Leadership :

Oversee and guide inside and outside Sales Executives in driving revenue growth.

Monitor and analyze CRM / ERP data to track team performance and trends.

Ensure the team meets KPIs and sales targets, providing coaching and support where needed.

Implement performance improvement plans and mentor sales professionals for success.

Market Insights & Strategy :

Assess lead potential based on project scope, budget, and industry trends.

Work closely with the leadership team to refine and improve lead generation strategies.

Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in manufacturing or B2B sales.

Strong leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and evaluating sales teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Confidence in cold-calling and proactive outreach strategies.

Proficiency in CRM and lead management software.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of woodworking manufacturing or similar industries is an asset.

Requirements

Support function for the Senior. Engineering Designer. a) Review Work Orders : Reinforce correct information coming from PM’s and captured into the WO before it’s released to the shop floor. b) Checks drawings for correctness. Review work orders for accuracy and completeness, issue work orders (as required). Review inventory levels for accuracy and completeness. Review shipping pick lists for accuracy and completeness. Revise and update ERP data; create processes / procedures for inputting future data where necessary. Oversee the SCAF (Sub Contractor Agreement Form) process. Analyze the current raw materials management systems for efficiency and effectiveness. Provide support, coaching and implementation assistance for new production initiatives as required. Ex. new warehouse inventory management system. Perform duties and tasks in other departments as required under the direction of the Management team (i.e. Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving and Production).
