FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

The CFO will strategically support the VP Finance in achieving growth objectives, improving and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the VP Finance in all aspects of financial reporting needs, adhering to accounting rules and practices
- In collaboration with the VP Finance, manage the budget, forecasts and financial planning
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
- Provide annual budget projections and act as a steward of cash flow while assessing financial risks and financing scenarios
- Design, implement, document and support risk management solutions and strategies, particularly with respect to interest rate loan portfolios
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to optimize the company’s financial processes and improve the quality of financial data
- Supervise the development and implementation of financial simulation models and dashboards
- Ensure continuous cash management (analyze cash flows and liquidity needs)
- Consult, analyze and define profitability standards for investment projects
- Advise and report to the VP of Finance any critical trends in the company’s financial performance
- Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting practices and investment initiatives and propose changes to processes, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions to the VP of Finance
- Develop recommendations, policies and planning required to support the company’s strategic decisions, all based on financial models and economics
- Be responsible for taxation, prepare documents for the preparation of tax returns
- Assist the VP of Finance to represent the company with banking institutions, auditors, tax and legal advisors, insurance companies and various government financial agencies
- Actively participate in the implementation of the new ERP
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree with 10 years of experience in accounting / financeHold the CPA titleExperience in the manufacturing sector (asset)Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecastingProficiency in the Office 365 suiteBilingualism French, English (one asset)Good communicator, with good teamwork skillsStrategic and results-oriented plannerSynthesis skills, good judgment, analytical and decision-making skillsA keen sense of detail and precisionAbility to anticipate and solve problemsMust be able to manage multiple sensitive projects on time and prioritize large workloadsAdditional information
