Our client is a leading ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction and development company recognized for delivering complex, large-scale projects with precision and efficiency.
They are looking to expand their team with a Senior Estimator who will play a critical role in the pre-construction and tendering phases.
Position Overview :
The Senior Estimator will be a key member of the pre-construction team, responsible for managing the estimating process and assisting with tender submissions.
This role requires collaboration with the project management and development teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
Additionally, the Senior Estimator will contribute to client pitches, helping to present proposals that reflect the company's expertise and value.
Key Responsibilities :
- Estimating & Cost Analysis : Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects.
- Tender Management : Lead the preparation, submission, and follow-up of competitive tender bids.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination : Identify, evaluate, and solicit pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Pre-Construction Planning : Collaborate with the pre-construction team to identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions.
- Client Pitches : Assist in developing pitch materials and attend presentations with business development teams.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain organized and thorough documentation of all estimates, contracts, and tenders.
- Market Research : Stay up-to-date on market trends, construction costs, and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in ICI construction
- Strong understanding of tendering, pre-construction, and estimating processes.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to assist in client-facing pitches.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
