JOB TITLE : SUMMER INTERNSHIP II
WORK LOCATION : BAKERSFIELD AREA
REPORTS TO : DEPARTMENT MANAGER
COMPENSATION : $19.50 - $21.00 / HOUR (depending on year in college)
PURPOSE :
The Internship II position at Grimmway Farms is meant to provide current junior and senior students the
opportunity to gain work related experience in their degree field. A summer internship is typically a ten-to-twelve-week experience in the months of May-August. Internships are paid. Requests for college credit are
supported.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION :
Job duties will be dependent on individual department needs. Internship II provides students with greater day-to-day responsibilities and project-based work. Work may require both team and independent tasks. Job
duties will provide experience and opportunities to learn how to navigate in a professional organization,
provide opportunity to build and leverage problem solving skills, apply educational knowledge, and develop
soft skills in support of professional development.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITES AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS :
FARMING : General, Agronomy, Organics, Quality, Food Safety, Innovation.
OPERATIONS : General, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Packaging, Purchasing,
Transportation and Logistics, Construction and Engineering, Equipment Maintenance.
OTHER : Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Human Resources, Safety, IT, Corporate
Communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Varies by position and may include the ability to frequently move about inside the office, food processing
facilities and / or farming fields. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
Occasionally, must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to
work outdoors. Must be able to work in different temperatures which range between 30° F and 110° F. Ability
to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in a high noise area.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Qualified to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needed. Actively enrolled full-time
college student. Full time status is 12 or more credit hours. Must have a junior / senior classification with at least
one semester remaining prior to graduation.
