Job description

BURNCO  is looking for a full-time Loader Operator  to join our  Medicine Hat, Alberta Ready-Mix  operations. Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will perform physical labour while working with and around heavy equipment. The successful candidate will also have their own mode of transportation and be able to work Monday through Friday work schedule which includes overtime, evening and weekend hours as required.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist drivers with loading materials into the Mixer Trucks (ice and / or silica).
  • Assist Batcher with plant upkeep, as required.
  • Ensure the work areas remain clean and free from clutter and build-up.
  • Follow and promote  BURNCO's  safety program, ensuring all policies are followed.
  • Other duties as required.
  • What We Would Like From You

    Education & Experiences

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Class 5 Drivers License and clean Drivers abstract to operate  BURNCO  trucks.
  • Construction and / or Concrete plant experience an asset.
  • Loader experience is required.
  • Flexible to work shifts that include overtime, evenings and weekends as required.
  • Skills

  • Highly motivated and capable of working independently and within in a team environment.
  • Reliable and punctual - we will be counting on you.
  • Ability to take direction to meet assigned responsibilities.
  • Record of working safely on various sites and around heavy equipment.
  • Capable of performing manual physical labour in conditions that may include varying weather and temperature, as well as heavy lifting (over 23+ kg to 50+ lbs).
