Job description

Junior Purchasing CoordinatorToronto, HybridContract - 6 monthsThe Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of products at the best possible prices to meet customer requirements. This role involves managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while supporting the overall supply chain strategy.ResponsibilitiesReview system requirements and process purchase orders to fulfill customer demands.Coordinate with suppliers to track shipments, manage lead times, and expedite orders when necessary.Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet business and customer needs.Request and analyze supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, and engage in supplier selection.Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers as needed.Work with Accounts Payable to resolve supplier payment issues.Process orders and manage documentation for direct pickup orders from overseas and U.S.-based factories.Collaborate with the Graphics team to manage artwork changes.Collect and analyze data for supply chain reports on product specifications and lifecycle changes.Identify and engage with new suppliers / vendors for existing products.RequirementsA minimum of 1 year of experience in an Administrative role, ideally related to procurement / supply chain.Knowledge of SAP for procurement & inventory management preferred.Intermediate MS Office Suite skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
