Immediate need for Wind Turbine Technicians Level 3 or 4 Borescoping Experience
As a Wind Turbine Service Technician Level 3 or 4 Borescoping Technician, you will be responsible to service newly operational wind turbine generators :
- Travel to and work at wind farms in Alberta CAN, Texas US or Midwest US
- May be authorized to perform specific borescoping tasks independently'
- Borescoping of gear boxes and main bearings
- Maintain, safeguard and inspect borescoping equipment
- Work safely, competently and productively under the direction of others
- Keep records, maintain documentation and report technical and safety issues
Must meet the following requirements, have or obtain the listed required certifications and training (may be provided) including, but not limited to :
Must have 2+ years of successful experience performing borescope inspectionUS or Canada citizen or eligible to travel to and work in US and / or Canada for extended periods of time (valid passport preferred)Ability to work an 8 week on, 1 week off rotationPhysically able to safely climb wind turbines up to 90m+ (300+ feet), stand, stoop, walk, crawl, crouch, stoop and generally meet the physical demands of the position.Must have knowledge of hand cameras / borescope toolsMust have knowledge of single, double, and / or triple planetary gearboxMust have basic knowledge of bearing / gear damage nomenclatureValid and current driving license with a satisfactory driving recordMust be 21 years of age to be able to drive a company vehicleMust be able to proficiently read, write and speak EnglishSatisfactory criminal background checkGWO BST (Basic Safety Training) - fire awareness, working at heights, manual handling, first aidGWO BTT (Basic Technical Training) - electrical, hydraulic, mechanicalOSHA 10 General IndustryApplicable Siemens Gamesa Technical Training (SGTT)Crane, Chain Hoist and Rigging Safety TrainingNFPA 70E Arc-Flash AwarenessPrefer training or experience with Touchscreen Controller Hand Terminals
