Job description

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities :

Required

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary office administration program, and one to three years administrative / secretarial experience, preferably at a senior level
  • Experience working in a health care environment is an asset as is experience with liaising with public, staff, and board member
  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and internet-based applications such as virtual meeting platforms and file sharing portals (to be tested)
  • Keyboarding skills of minimum 60 words per minute
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills (to be tested)
  • Experience with developing schedules and use of database software is an asset
  • Produce accurate, timely agendas, minutes / action summaries for circulation and historical record
  • Ability to develop attractive and detailed reports, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, and other correspondence such as letters, memos
  • Knowledge of meeting and committee process and procedures
  • Work collaboratively as a team player and ability to work well independently
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • The ability to manage concurrent tasks and unexpected demands, organize / prioritize a changing workload while completing assignments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to effectively maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to travel to other sites as required
  • General knowledge of the corporation and its six Hospital sites
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
