DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician to join our team in the Sudbury area.
In this role, most of the workload will be on mining sites and will require travel and willingness to stay overnight on site or in hotel.
We are looking for someone with the ability to asses and prioritize work load and customer needs in the field. The candidates needs to be able to work as apart of a team to support area of coverage to ensure customers maintain equipment uptime.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Dealing with customers directly.
- Use your experience with electronic controls and diagnostics along with mechanical systems
- Use your experience and skill set to do overhauls and major engine repairs
- 310T / 421A Red seal certificate required for position
The following are considered assets :
- Marine experience preferred but not required
- Experience and certification with Natural Gas is a benefit
- BEV, Hydrogen and alternative fuels experience is a benefit
- Experience with Power Gen is a benefit
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :
Education, Licenses, Certifications :
Trained Engine Technician 310T or 421A is mandatory
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience :
Intermediate level knowledge of and / or experience with engine products.
Locally valid driving permit
Underground / mining experience
Norcat certification will be required for role
On-highway, Agriculture, mining, construction applications
This position is eligible to a 5000$ sign-on bonus !!
Hourly salary depending on experience (with premiums)
Intermediate) :
Completes complex internal engine repairs
Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
