JOB OVERVIEW : NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Reporting to Manager, Network Operations, this position is responsible for administering the University's network / system infrastructure. This position will focus on Desktop and Enterprise Application Administrator.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years experience in managing Windows print servers and PaperCut or other third-party enterprise print management solutions is required.
- Experience administering System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) for monitoring and alerting.
- Proficiency in packaging and administering System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and JAMF.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and GPO for managing user access and printer policies.
- Exposure to AlertUs emergency notification systems and EZProxy is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS
Thorough knowledge of computer / network system operations, troubleshooting and information security best practices including the ability to quickly grasp new concepts using new technologies.Excellent time and task priority management is essential.Excellent technical written & documentation skills are essential.Good verbal, communication and well developed interpersonal skills are essential.Proven ability to deal effectively with others and to handle unusual or unexpected situations.Ability to work under minimal supervision, under own initiative and as an effective team member.Ability to independently organize work to achieve predetermined goals and meet deadlinesWilling to learn new technologiesclick here for a more detailed job description
Salary Information
Annual salary increases are based on hours worked and anniversary dates
