GTT is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our team.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect with 7-10 years of experience to design, implement, and manage data solutions within our AWS cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data development, visualization, and engineering tools, as well as a proven track record of migrating data platforms to cloud-native solutions.

You will be responsible for creating and managing scalable, secure, and reliable data systems and collaborating with various teams to ensure our data infrastructure supports business intelligence and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Design & Architecture :

Lead the design and implementation of data architectures, focusing on scalability, security, and performance in AWS cloud environments.

Design data lakes and integrate various data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility for reporting and analytics.

Develop data models and ensure they are aligned with business requirements and long-term goals.

Data Development & Visualization :

Collaborate with the reporting teams to deliver access layers, reporting structures, and dashboards.

Leverage data visualization tools like Quicksight , Tableau , Power BI , or others to build insightful and user-friendly reports for stakeholders.

Cloud Migration & Infrastructure Management :

Support migration from on-premises or legacy data systems to cloud-native solutions in AWS.

Utilize tools such as Terraform , CloudFormation , and CDK to manage infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency and scalability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :

Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to align data architectures with organizational goals and reporting priorities.

Provide support and guidance to internal teams and external partners in utilizing data pipelines and business intelligence tools.

Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship :

Provide knowledge transfer sessions to team members to enhance their understanding of data architectures and best practices.

Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, supporting the professional development of the team.

Required Experience & Skills :

7-10 years of experience as a Data Architect with expertise in both data development and data visualization.

Proficiency in AWS cloud environment, including key services like Redshift, SageMaker, Quicksight, and other AWS data tools.

Strong experience with data engineering tools, platforms, and methodologies.

Solid understanding of data lake design and implementation.

Expertise in programming languages including TypeScript, Python, and Scala.

Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK.

Proven track record in migrating data platforms to cloud-native solutions.

Nice to Have :

Experience with AWS IAM for security and access management.

Knowledge of networking and security in cloud environments.

Experience with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, SAS, and Power BI.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics) are highly desirable.
