Reporting to the Manager, URD and Customer Choice, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the project management of residential shallow utility projects on behalf of ENMAX, TELUS, ROGERS, ATCO and City of Calgary.
This role is accountable for leading a collaborative project team consisting of internal and external engineering, scheduling, inspection, construction, and administrative personnel to ensure successful delivery of services to the Calgary Developer community.
Major Responsibilities :
Manage multiple complex customer projects and ensure maximum productivity is obtained and that projects are completed in an efficient manner.
Ensure that projects are closed out and capitalized; this includes reviewing estimates and quotations, controlling project costs to ensure that capitalized and customer costs are correct, and ensuring that all receivables are collected
Coordination of all shallow utilities that participate in the project. This includes coordination of shallow utilities design through to construction completion.
Identify and establish positive relationships between all project stakeholders.
Act as liaison between Developer / Customer and the shallow utilities (inclusive of ENMAX).
Chair all required project meetings (in office and on site)
Provide regular progress reporting including financial forecasting, variance explanations, schedule, safety, quality, and risk status.
Provide leadership and direction for the project team, this includes ensuring that a collaborative approach is obtained between the designers, schedulers, inspectors, administrators and contact construction personnel.
Be the central point of contact for project related issues and disputes for both external and internal parties, facilitating resolution to all issues and disputes.
Manage the completion of all outstanding and deficient work.
Participate in third party contract performance reviews.
Education Required :
Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering. A related combination of experience and education may be considered.
Professional (PMP) designation or qualification to PMP designation
Qualifications & Experience :
5+ years in project management
Experience with contract management
Experience managing Multi-party and Customer projects (Estimating, Engineering, Construction, Quality, and Safety).
Knowledge of ENMAX Joint Use and Developer operations
Understanding of project financials (eg. project budget, cost tracking, change order management, etc.)
Familiarity with Project Management tools such as Primavera / Microsoft Project
Valid Class 5 License

Proven leadership capabilities in directing projects and guiding teams with a matrixed structure, ensuring collaborative success.
Excellent communication skills, ensuring clarity and understanding across the team and with internal / external stakeholders
Experience in promoting team collaboration and open dialogue for better solutions
Safety oriented
Proven negotiation, dispute resolution, and mitigation skills
Established record as an effective decision-maker, utilizing sound judgment to navigate complex situations and achieve optimal outcomes.

Location : This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).
You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
