Business Analyst - Data & Analytics

Background :

  • Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Level with a strong Agile project delivery background to join its dynamic team focused on the delivery of data and analytics-oriented initiatives.

    • Services Sought :

  • Reporting to the Manager of Reporting Products & Solutions (DOH, Corporate Services; Shared Analytics), the Business Analyst will be provided leadership and supervision regarding overall duties and work assignments.
  • The primary focus of the Business Analyst position under the terms of this Statement of Work will be to work as a Business Analyst with other team members to help design, develop, and deploy the expanded Corporate Reporting Solution (CRS) application.
  • Familiarity with IT architecture, data and analytics packages, integration, reporting, and an ability to identify data and analytics or partner solutions to meet business problems is required.
  • Some after-hours and weekend work may be required for the successful candidate, however, any overtime or work during non-business hours must be approved in advance.
  • The Language of Work is English.
  • The Language of Service is English.

    • Deliverables

    The following deliverables will be the responsibility of the candidate. Specific deliverables in order to successfully complete the engagement include, but are not limited to :

  • Functional & Non-Functional Requirements
  • User Stories
  • Wireframes / Screen Mock-ups
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Test Cases

    • The Business Analyst will be expected to :

  • Support the software development team.
  • Work with both client and development team members to elicit requirements, write user stories, define goals, document requirements, and analyze business functions to become familiar with the business domain.
  • Identify business workflows and determine stakeholder needs.
  • Author test case specifications, requirements traceability documentation, and contribute to the compilation and execution of test plans

    • Must Haves :

  • A minimum of years of IM / IT experience.
  • A minimum of years of experience as a Business Analyst.

    • Rated Criteria :

  • Facilitation skills - Demonstrated experience in conducting working sessions for requirements gathering.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and documenting a detailed statement of requirements both functional and non-functional.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and documenting interfaces of manual to automated operations within application sub-systems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience defining requirements for internal and public-facing web sites.
  • Demonstrated experience creating test cases, requirements traceability documentation, defining test data requirements, and executing test cases.
  • Demonstrated experience using Agile or similar methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience developing User Stories.
  • Demonstrated experience designing user interfaces for mobile-responsive web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience using Agile enabling tools such as Scrumworks, Jira, TFS, Azure Dev Ops, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience using Quality Centre (Client ALM).
  • Demonstrated experience working with a distributed team.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Public Sector as a Business Analyst.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Data Analytics field.

  • Hybrid role- days per week in the office required
