Job ResponsibilitiesProvide inquiry based, problem solving based and project based learning opportunitiesUtilize academic programs including Reading Mastery, ReadWell, Corrective Reading, Nelson Literacy and Saxon MathPrepare and deliver long term, monthly and daily lesson plan activitiesDevelop and oversee individual learning plans for each student as requiredEnsure that students’ overall needs for achieving success are metCollaborate with Education Assistants and Cultural Workers regularly and as requiredEnforce the school discipline policyParticipate as a member of the school supervisory and extra-curricular teamsProvide written student evaluation reports and attend parent-teacher conferencesEnsure that accurate and complete student records are maintainedDevelop and maintain positive relationships with parentsJob QualificationsBachelor of EducationMember in good standing with the BC Teacher Regulation Branch 2 years teaching experience in a First Nations environment preferredSatisfactory criminal records and vulnerable sector searchIf you are interested in this position you may submit your covering letter & resume by June 27, 2022 to : [email protected]
