As a Corporate Solutions Architect , you will play a critical role in coordinating with various business areas, IT operations, IT management, partner organizations, and vendors to ensure the success of IT initiatives. Your technical expertise and leadership will ensure that IT investments are optimized, solutions are scalable, and risks are minimized.

The job responsibilities include :

Architectural Alignment and Risk Management

  • Act as the focal point for resolving architecture issues within the architecture management portfolios.
  • Participate in cross-departmental architectural teams and provide architectural input to IM / IT planning processes.
  • Identify architectural dependencies and impacts across projects to ensure alignment and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor IM / IT solutions under development and ensure significant architecture decisions are documented.

Development and Maintenance of Architecture Roadmaps

  • Identify gaps between current state architecture and future vision and define approaches to address those gaps.
  • Propose refinements to existing government and health system-wide architectures.
  • Maintain an active inventory of health system-wide assets and ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed.
  • Asset Reusability and Utilization

  • Recognize opportunities to reuse existing assets and acquire new assets that enhance value and efficiency.
  • Provide architecture guidance to project teams on available IM / IT assets for reuse.
  • Promote the design and implementation of applications that improve integration and reuse capabilities.
  • Maximizing IT Investment through Asset Management

  • Define architectural expectations for projects across each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Guide projects in the use of architecture management solutions, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Actively manage and enhance architecture asset management processes to improve efficiency.
  • Compliance with Standards and Best Practices

  • Ensure IM / IT solutions adhere to applicable data, application, and technology standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions that align with corporate IM / IT assets and report misalignments.
  • Evaluate the risks of proposed approaches and design solutions that are sustainable and scalable.
  • Emerging Technology Adoption and Technical Expertise

  • Continuously maintain technical expertise through training and research on emerging technologies.
  • Lead proof-of-concept activities to assess the effectiveness of new technologies.
  • Share findings on emerging technologies through seminars, workshops, and reports to IM / IT management executives.
  • Qualifications

    University graduation in computer science or a related discipline plus four years related experience; or equivalent as described. Equivalency : A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and six years related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years related experience.

    The following experience is required :

  • Overall business knowledge of strategies, guidelines, policies, legislation, and processes of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture, methods, tools, and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of solution development methods, modern software design methodologies and frameworks, cloud infrastructure, container-based development.
  • Understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience as a technical leader on development teams.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and processes.
