Techo-Bloc is the leading manufacturer of hardscape materials, offering some of the most innovative, stylish, and durable precast concrete products on the market. Our mission is to empower professional landscape contractors, designers, and architects to craft stunning outdoor living spaces. From indoor boutique designs to exterior displays and award-winning trade show booths, our Marketing Team take Techo-Bloc’s brand identity to the next level.

The Creative Manager is a pivotal role within the marketing team, overseeing the graphic design team, managing external vendors (photographers, videographers, etc.), and directing photoshoots. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager of Creative and Design, this position ensures the creation of engaging designs and content that align with the brand’s identity and effectively reach target audiences. The Creative Manager plays a key leadership role in managing offline design initiatives, fostering team growth, and driving the aesthetic and functional success of marketing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Mentorship :

  • Oversee and mentor a team of graphic designers, fostering professional growth and creative excellence.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to understand team dynamics, address challenges, and provide guidance.
  • Manage daily priorities, workloads, and deadlines to ensure smooth team operations.
  • Creative Direction and Brand Stewardship :

  • Lead the development of creative briefs for design production based on business objectives.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings to establish the communication and aesthetic direction for all marketing initiatives.
  • Revise and approve all marketing assets to ensure they are on-brand and on-tone.
  • Lead the creative vision for branding, product photography, catalogs, website content, social media, and all digital and print assets. Ensure visual consistency across channels and bring inspiring, informative, and captivating concepts to life for our target audience.
  • Uphold and evolve Techo’s brand standards, collaborating with the Director and management team to align all materials with core brand values.
  • Digital & Print Expertise : Drive 360° execution of creative projects, ensuring seamless concept development and asset creation across platforms.
  • Vendor and Asset Management :

  • Establish and manage relationships with external vendors, including photographers and videographers.
  • Lead the selection process, manage vendor contracts, and conduct evaluations and reviews.
  • Oversee the retouching and editing of assets.
  • Create and manage budgets for photography, videography, and asset production.
  • Production Oversight :

  • Manage all offline visual design and production initiatives, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Direct photoshoots, ensuring alignment with creative briefs and brand standards. Must be available for occasional travel (10%) within Quebec, Ontario, and the USA. A valid passport is required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate all design disciplines into cohesive projects.
  • Process Improvement and Strategy :

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance creative workflows.
  • Contribute to high-level brainstorming sessions for major projects and campaigns.
  • Develop and oversee an education plan of graphic designers and integrating learnings into creative workflows.
  • Qualifications

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in creative management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading design teams and managing complex creative projects.
  • Technical Proficiency :

  • Expertise in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Teamwork.com, Trello, or similar platforms).
  • Experience in directing photoshoots and managing production workflows.
  • Leadership and Collaboration :

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills to inspire and grow a creative team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align creative efforts with business goals.
  • Creative and Analytical Abilities :

  • Exceptional eye for design, branding, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset to evaluate creative performance and identify areas for improvement.
