MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for a Hydrogeological Modeler in Vancouver, BC. Responsibilities :
Lead and review advanced groundwater modeling for flow, contaminant transport, and uncertainty analysis.
Collaborate with geochemists, hydrologists, and engineers to support interdisciplinary projects.
Participate in mining studies, including economic assessments, feasibility studies, and permitting.
Develop 3D numerical models of groundwater systems, considering environmental and financial risks.
Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
Requirements :
Master’s or higher degree in geology, engineering, or physical geography, with a focus on hydrogeology or related fields.
Proficiency in groundwater numerical modeling (FEFLOW™ preferred) and geological modeling software (Leapfrog™ preferred).
Strong coding and statistical skills, with experience in environmental risk assessment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with fieldwork experience.
GIT designation preferred.
Available to work in office 5 days a week with travel.
