Position :
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Manager, Financial Investments & Analysis will play a key role on the Finance Team, supporting executive leaders of the overall organization by providing insightful, actionable analysis and recommendations on key financial decisions of the organization.
This highly visible role involves working cross-functionally to gather information and deliver value-added financial analytics and recommendations.
The successful candidate will have solid transaction advisory experience with a good understanding of financial due diligence, valuations and financial modeling with the ability to quickly obtain an understanding of how the entire organization works.
Key Responsibilities :
- Play an integral role in assessment of corporate development opportunities and other growth areas through advanced modelling and scenario analysis
- Gather all necessary data for the evaluation of potential transactions and prepare financial scenarios, projections, and business cases.
- Support with the development and refining of various forecasting tools for existing and new business initiatives.
- Assist with the maintenance and updating of cash flow and business valuation model.
- Lead preparation of business case summaries and recommendations regarding potential transactions in collaboration with the deal team.
- Assist with the deal documentation and transaction closing process through collaboration and partnering with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with operational leaders across our business segments with the goal of understanding the underlying business model and drivers of performance
- Lead the analysis of various special projects where assigned.
Qualifications :
- Post-Secondary education in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent. (CPA / MBA / CFA etc)
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, with 3 years experience in financial analysis and transaction execution (M&A / Transaction Advisory, Private Equity, Corporate Development)
- Experience in financial due diligence, valuations and financial modeling
- Proven ability to efficiently translate quantitative data into value-added analysis and recommendations
- Strong analytical skills, with extreme attention to detail, accuracy and accountability balanced with sound business judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to summarize and present on complex topics and data.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.
- Experience working for Big 4 Accounting Firm or private sector an asset
- A true passion for and demonstrated knowledge in advanced analytics for informed decision making.
- Bilingualism in French and English an asset

Commensurate with the importance of this position, the company will provide an excellent compensation package including base salary and performance-related incentives.
