Job description

The Superintendent may either exercise direct supervision over laborers and craft workers or be responsible for directing an assigned segment of a project with one or more crafts. This position will participate in layout / field engineering and will implement the Company Safety Manual in their assigned work area. This position must work under the direction of a Superintendent or higher.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply the Company Safety Manual and policies
  • Understand and apply company Core Values
  • Use and follow the requirements of Project Leadership
  • Interpret construction documents, plans and specifications
  • Manage and motivate their workforce and that of the Subcontractors
  • Discern between high and unacceptable work quality
  • Develop and maintain the Daily Report process
  • Properly sequence respective work with associated Subcontractors and Vendors
  • Assist with schedule development and adherence for respective scopes of work
  • Participate in a project's layout and engineering
  • Understand and interact with Project Engineer on basics such as the assembly, organization, flow of, and review of RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, record drawings
  • Follow direction, collaborate with all team members, and complete assigned tasks
  • Identify and learn construction practices / principles

Professional Requirements

  • College Graduate with relevant degree
  • Field Foreman with a written recommendation, basic safety awareness, supervisory experience, capacity to desire and learn, understanding of basic construction sequencing, ability and desire to deliver high quality work
  • Field Engineer with same as above including written recommendation, ability to keep daily reports, read and interpret construction documents
  • Fundamental understanding of project documents
  • Travel Requirements

    This position is 100% jobsite located.
