Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time h ighly skilled Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion in Kelowna, BC. In this role you will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and trade contractors to ensure project specifications are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and trade contractors to confirm project specifications and ensure alignment with the owner's vision.
  • Conduct ongoing meetings with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, building codes, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage post-project evaluations, final assessments, and closeout activities.
  • Build and maintain a network of external contractors, negotiate contracts, and prepare scope of work for subcontracted services.
  • Initiate and oversee subcontract execution, manage contract changes, and ensure proper cost tracking.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule with input from the superintendent and trade contractors, ensuring all preconstruction activities, safety measures, quality control, and logistics are addressed.
  • Maintain accountability for the project budget, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize project success.
  • Confirm customer acceptance of contract values, budgets, and change orders to facilitate accurate and timely billing.
  • Review and approve all site expenditures while ensuring alignment with the overall project financials.
  • Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Minimum of 5 years in construction project management and personnel management.
  • Experience in Multi-Family Residential Construction is essential.
  • A diploma in engineering technology, construction management, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates with a Gold Seal designation or a degree in a relevant field will be given priority.
  • Ability to lead project design development in collaboration with the design team, coordinating with Registered Professionals and in-house designers.
  • Skilled in assessing constructability at each stage of design development and evaluating cost impacts of various design scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of off-site infrastructure development.
  • Proven ability to oversee all aspects of project execution, including procuring Owner Project Requirements and leading teams effectively.
  • Extensive experience with project budgeting, cost control, cash-flow forecasting, and change management.
  • Familiarity with standardized systems and process controls.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support assistant project managers, project coordinators, and superintendents.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
