THE ROLE :
Reporting to the Live Haul Supervisor, the Live Haul Driver is responsible for the careful operation, inspection and routine maintenance of tractor-trailers used in transporting live poultry. Working alongside the catch crew, the Live Haul Driver will provide oversight of the animals, all while adhering to stringent animal welfare regulations and company processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operating a tractor-trailer
- Preparing and maintaining pre-trip inspections on the operation of the assigned vehicle
- Preparing and maintaining a daily driver’s log
- Transporting live poultry
- Preparing and maintaining records on the loading and delivery of live poultry
