The Role

We are seeking an experienced leader who can draw from their diverse fire and emergency services background to lead the Fire Service, Emergency Management, Peace Officer / Bylaw program, and RCMP Administration. You will be given the responsibility to strategically utilize your experience and expertise to shape a collaborative and effective team to ensure the safety and well-being of the town we all love and call home. You are a passionate and highly motivated leader who challenges the status quo.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful, you will have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field and / or post-secondary education in Fire Services or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in Fire, Emergency Management, Protective Services, or a combination of, with at least five years or more experience in a management or leadership role, with the ability to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. Previous experience in a municipal setting is considered an asset.
