Position DescriptionAbout Metropolitan Bible ChurchMetropolitan Bible Church ("The Met") has been a lighthouse for the gospel in Canada’s capital region since . The Met was incorporated on December 30, and has been registered as a charitable organization since January 1, . The Met is a member of the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada. Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ, together engaging people with the gospel, establishing believers in the gospel and equipping servants of the gospel, in our nation’s capital and the nations of the world.The Met is one of the few premier megachurches in Canada with approximately people attending our weekly services, with several hundred who view our live streamed services. The church’s mid-week services for men, women, youth, young adults & seniors are attended by close to a thousand beneficiaries. Aside from weekly services, The Met hosts several conferences throughout the year such as : The Freedom Summitt, The Timothy Trust national conference, annual missions conference among others. Our expansive facility spans 7 acres, with dedicated sanctuary, fellowship area, meeting rooms, board rooms, Sunday school facility, gym, chapel etc., offering a dynamic environment for worship, learning, service, and community engagement.At this time, we are seeking an Executive Pastor to help us manage our operations, lead strategic planning, and ensure alignment with our mission.For additional information, please refer to our website at : Job duties Strategy :  Lead all executive and management functions of The Met, ensuring alignment with the church's overall mission, establishing comprehensive strategic plans and overseeing implementation by way of supervising various ministry leaders / directors leading different ministries of the Church.Operations :  Provide direct oversight for all operational aspects, including facility, infrastructure, communication strategies, compliances, policies, and record-keeping.Human Resources :  Manage the hiring and development of The Met's human resources, including senior and executive staff. Oversee and manage a number of senior staff heading various departments / ministries of the church, including Men’s Pastor, Young Adults Pastor, Youth Pastor, Pastor to the Seniors, Pastor of Communication and Outreach, Children’s Ministry Director, Care Ministry Director, Women’s Ministry Director, Facility Manager, Office Manager, and Finance Manager.Finance :  Provide diligent biblical stewardship over the church's resources, overseeing and authorizing financial administration, budgeting, and financial reporting, working closely with the Finance Manager, Lead Pastor and Board of Directors.Board :  Represent The Met and act as a liaison with the Board of Directors, providing regular progress updates and evaluations based on the church's mission and goals. Pastoral :  Support the preaching ministry and engage in other pastoral duties as required.Missions :  Provide strategic leadership to the missions portfolio, including formulating and determining global missions priorities. As representative of The Met, initiating and cultivating external and community partnerships, oversee missionary care and support processes, developing missions policies and budgets, revitalizing missions conferences, and overseeing missions training programs and traveling to visit and supervise international mission partners.
