We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Integration Expert to lead and manage the integration initiatives, focusing on HL7 , FHIR , APIs , and provincial registries . The ideal candidate will have deep experience in managing integration projects, specifically within healthcare settings, and familiarity with platforms like MS BizTalk and Meditech ..
Key Responsibilities :
1. Project Management :
- Lead and manage healthcare integration projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including clinical users, provincial partners, vendors, and other relevant groups, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop, track, and manage project plans, ensuring clear documentation and alignment with timelines and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and milestones, reporting status to senior leadership and escalating issues as necessary.
2. Integration & Technical Expertise :
Provide leadership and expertise on integration protocols like HL7 , FHIR , and APIs to drive the successful implementation of integrated systems.Work with integration platforms like MS BizTalk to facilitate and manage healthcare data exchanges.Lead the integration of clinical systems with provincial registries and other healthcare networks.Support the EMPI (Enterprise Master Patient Index) to ensure accurate patient data and reduce duplicates across healthcare systems.3. Stakeholder Management :
Facilitate communication between a diverse group of stakeholders, including clinical users, provincial partners, vendors, and others.Ensure that the project meets the needs of diverse groups, including clinical users from various backgrounds and disciplines.Coordinate with external vendors to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.4. Change Management :
Manage change effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring that both clinical users and technical teams can adapt to new systems and workflows.Develop and implement training plans to onboard clinical staff on new integration tools and workflows.Act as a key player in managing the integration of new technology, helping clinical teams navigate and adopt the changes seamlessly.5. Risk Management :
Identify and mitigate project risks related to integration activities, particularly regarding technical challenges and stakeholder engagement.Establish processes to monitor, resolve, and escalate issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.6. Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, timelines, risk logs, and action items.Ensure transparency in reporting and provide regular updates to stakeholders about project status, issues, and resolutions.Develop and maintain documentation related to integration processes and workflows.7. Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer :
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and other internal resources involved in integration projects.Ensure knowledge transfer to internal Fraser Health teams to build long-term capabilities.Mandatory Skills and Qualifications :
1. Experience :
7+ years of experience in healthcare IT integration projects, specifically focusing on HIE (Health Information Exchange).Demonstrated experience working with integration platforms, particularly MS BizTalk , and protocols like HL7 , FHIR , APIs , and EMPI .Strong background in working with provincial registries and managing integration with healthcare networks.Extensive experience in navigating and managing clinical workflows and change management within healthcare environments.Proven experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders, including clinical users, provincial partners, vendors, and others.2. Technical Expertise :
Advanced knowledge of integration platforms (e.g., MS BizTalk ) and clinical EHR systems , including Meditech .In-depth experience working with EMPI , ensuring accurate patient records and minimizing data duplication across systems.Familiarity with managing FHIR and HL7 interfaces, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration.Experience working with APIs to enable interoperability across healthcare systems.4. Certifications :
PMP Certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.Additional certifications in healthcare integration or interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 , FHIR ) are a plus.About Techiosoft
