Business Systems Analyst (Identity/Verification Services)

Our client in the financial services sector is looking for a contract based Business Systems Analyst to support their Verification and Document Verification Services.

In this role, you will help design, document, and support solutions that enable secure verification and authentication of identities and documents for use across financial institutions, government systems, and other sectors.

Working within a fully agile environment, you will collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and other BSAs to ensure Interac’s verification services are effectively implemented, meeting business needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Gather and analyze requirements for both Verification Services and Document Verification Services, working with stakeholders to ensure business needs are accurately captured.
• Develop and maintain domain models, use cases, non-functional requirements (NFRs), and specifications to support secure and efficient identity and document verification.
• Create detailed diagrams, use case models, and supporting documentation to represent the verification processes.
• Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to define solution specifications and ensure they align with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and technical staff, facilitating clear understanding and alignment of verification service requirements.
• Work with financial institutions, government entities, and large employers to implement and support Interac’s verification services.
• Participate actively in agile squads, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
• Work within cross-functional teams to align deliverables with agile project management practices and timelines.
• Provide analytical support for both identity and document verification services, troubleshooting issues related to data accuracy, verification protocols, and authentication methods.
• Continuously refine processes, models, and documentation to adapt to evolving business requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements :

• 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on verification and authentication services.
• Familiarity with customer verification services, including both identity and document verification, or similar verification platforms.
• Experience in financial services, government systems, or large enterprises that require secure identity verification solutions.
• Proficient in data modeling, use case development, and requirements analysis specific to identity and document verification.
• Knowledge of security protocols, regulatory standards, and data privacy laws related to verification and authentication.
• Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with agile principles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data privacy, secure identity verification, and document authentication.
