Reports to : Vice-President Finance & Corporate Services

Direct Reports : Accounts Payable Analyst, Accounting Analyst, Billing Analyst (x2)

Hours : 1.0FTE, 37.5 hours per week, permanent full-time

Location : Greystone

Start Date : April 1, 2025

Closing Date : February 24, 2025

  • Position Summary

    Reporting directly to the Vice-President Finance & Corporate Services, the Accounting Manager provides management over the day-to-day financial processes of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing, ensuring maximum accuracy and productivity. The Accounting Manager will be required to liaise with members of the Finance Department as well as the Executive Team. This position works primarily in an office environment with generally standard weekday office hours although some flexibility in hours may be required.

    Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all day-to-day accounting operational functions.
  • Manage and monitor all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and requirements.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Provides direction and leadership for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing to ensure overall accuracy, maintenance, and adherence to financial policies and systems.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of assigned areas and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.
  • Manage monthly reporting for Cardiac doctors for purposes of compensation.
  • Full cycle accounting and preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements with working papers.
  • Monthly review of clinic expenses.
  • Preparation of annual budget.
  • Develop and prepare regular reporting and analysis and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement.
  • Notify and report to Vice-President Finance & Corporate Services any trends that are critical to the organization’s financial performance.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by Vice-President Finance & Corporate Services.

  • Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Business Central an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership, presentation, problem solving, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints.
  • Motivated and self-directed.
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with accounting designation.
  • 7 years working knowledge in accounting and finance with at least 3 years supervisory experience.
