The Care Company is looking for awesome, self-driven and highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse (RN or RPN) to provide homecare support to complex care adult and paediatric clients. You will play an essential role in providing the day-to-day care these clients need to remain at home.
- We are seeking a dedicated RPN or RN to support a young gentleman living at home in Oshawa. He is cognitively aware, independent in directing his care, and supported by an actively involved family. They are looking for a compassionate nurse to assist with his daily care interventions. The ideal candidate is calm, kind, and patient, with a supportive approach that complements the family’s involvement in his care.
Shifts
We are urgently looking to find a nurse who can provide care 9 : 30am-4 : 30pm Monday-Friday with possible day shifts on Saturdays every once in awhile.START DATE is as soon as possible.We are looking for someone who can commit to the set schedule mentioned above with no interruptions to the weekly schedule- consistency is required for our clients due to the complexity of their care needs.The family is looking for a nurse to join their care team long-term; applicants should only apply if they have no interruptions to their weekly availabilityRequirements
General Duties and Responsibilities :
Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical NurseProvide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needsMeets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properlyAssists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as requiredObserve the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responsesFunctions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job descriptionCompletes records and documentation accurately and thoroughlyCorrectly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure clients health and well-beingMust be able to commit to a consistent, on-going, weekly schedule.Nursing Requirements :

An asset if you own a vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)Negative TB Test completed within the last yearCNO RegistrationCOVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights CodeValid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.Valid CPR / First Aid certificationValid WHMIS2015 certification from the last yearMust be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in EnglishAbility to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.Having previous Paediatric nursing experience is an assetHaving previous trach, vent, g-tube, suctioning, cough assist, and oxygen administration / monitoring experience is an asset.Benefits
